Finished My Miniature Honeydukes Jack-O-Lantern Bench :)

This piece is sold now but I thought I'd show you how it finished up.  I think it turned out cute :)  I made the paper bags and the bag holder for the end of the bench.  And the other barrel that I just finished has peppermint toads in it, hehe. 

And I also added to Sherry's last available cabinet because I felt that it needed the display on top like the previous ones.  So I redid that one today and it is now sold as well.  But here's what I changed:

I made a cake for the first shelf, then added candies to the top.  You can't really tell from these pictures but there is a peppermint toad with a chocolate top and red and white peppermint bottom :)  That was one of the Harry Potter sweets.  So anyways, there's my finished projects I worked on today. 

Sherry's Honeydukes Trolley, Sherry's own design and style-Lovely!

Here's Sherry's version of the Honeydukes Trolley, all designed the way she wanted it :)  It's spectacular too!  All done in the pretty Honeydukes colors.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

Yet another miniature Harry Potter Honeydukes piece nearly complete :)

I've been waiting on another cabinet to come in, a custom order for one of my clients.  While I was waiting, I went ahead and did a little project out of this bench:

The picture is kind of dark but you get the idea of what it formerly looked like.

I wanted to make it a candy holder somehow, to work it into the Honeydukes theme I've been working on.  Here's what I came up with:

I'm not quite done, I still have to build and paint a little wooden paper bag holder for the end of one side.  And I still have to fill one barrel, because the candy barrels will also have the honeydukes sign on the front and they go with this bench.  This set is one of a kind, I do not have another bench and don't know if I could find another this long.  The bench is around 6 inches long!  That should tell you how big these pumpkin candy holders are!  They are decent in size. 

Yes that jack-o-lantern is puking Bertie Botts every flavor beans :)  That would be my weird sense of humor at work there :)  I can't express just how much better this is in person.  You can't make out the fine details like the sugar sparkles on the candies :(  They are so much prettier than this picture shows!  The last barrel will have peppermint toads in it :)  Each one has a sign in it with the candy label.  Hard to see on these pics.

The white pumpkin is not unfinished, he is one of those ghost pumpkins that have naturally off-white flesh.  

I'll post pictures of the finished set tomorrow before I list it for general sale in my store.  I will get it done because it looks like my custom ordered cabinet will be in tomorrow and then I'm making that for my customer.  She wanted my cabinet but with custom colors instead.  She making a darker in theme candy cellar.  So she needed a darker color scheme.  I'll post pictures after I get it done.

Ok Sherry's made her own set of three Honeydukes minis, and I thought I might show you all how they turned out...which is freakin' cute!  Hehehe!  Great work Sher!  She's rockin' the mini candies on these.    Ok so her pictures are pretty fuzzy because she can't get good shots at her house.  When they get here I'll reshoot them if there are any left to buy.  But for now, here's what I can show you:

Dollhouse Miniature Harry Potter Honeydukes Sweet Shop Sweet Trolley done :)

Ok my first version of the sweet trolley is done now although my icky inside pictures kind of ruin it.  I'll have to reshoot them tomorrow outside, but for now these will have to do.  Woot!  I am so darn glad this is finally done I can't even begin to tell you!  Whew.  Now on to the next ones ordered!  They'll all be different in certain ways to keep the pieces OOAK (one of a kind, for those of you who may not have heard the term).  But anyway, I am very proud of this one :)  I've watched these movies with my kids for years now.  They hold a special place in my heart because it was a "family-time thing" we did together.  Anywho, here's some really terrible pictures for now until I can get my grumpy camera out into natural light:

Here's some little pieces of pink coconut ice that's on the second shelf now-which of course you can't see in the whole view of the trolley.  So here it is sitting on my next unfinished trolley for the next customer who ordered one.

I also made these cute little scoops of sherbet balls for the top of the trolley:

All sold, this set anyway.  There will be more to come in the future because there are others ordered.  But like I said, I plan to make some changes so they remain ooak.  I'll try to get pictures tomorrow when my brain starts functioning again.  By now it's pretty tired out :(

Dollhouse Miniature Harry Potter Honeydukes Sweet Shop-Themed Witch Hat

I asked you all what you thought I might do with these two items, a bench and a hat box in my current Honeydukes theme.

I haven't had time to work on the bench yet, but I did manage to squeeze in that little hat box :)

How does one work in a hat into a Sweet Shop theme?  Make a Honeydukes colors, candy-themed hat of course! 

I decided to take the Honeydukes Sweet Shop one step further by making this lovely and fun candy-themed witch hat complete with hat box in the classic Honeydukes color theme. It is made from a combination of top grain leather and fabric. I thought this fun idea would be something available for sale in the sweet shop, that they would have their own signature hat decked out in wizarding candies :) Everything but the box was hand-crafted by me, although I did decorate it from unfinished wood to what it is now. This amazing hat is the only one in existence, because I'm sure no one has thought of this but me at this point in time. The decorated hat box and hat stands at 4 1/2 inches tall and the stand is fixed securely to the top of the hat box. 1/12 scale
